Cheap Recipes: Never Sacrifice Taste For Value Again
In these meagre times it’s not easy to find places to cut back . One place we do end up cutting costs is meal time with those expensive meals out or even nice home cooked meals getting the chop as the check or the ingredients are deemed too expensive to justify. What did our taste buds ever do to deserve such poor treatment .
The fact is that we simply don’t need to deny ourselves what is very simple yet very important part of our day to day lives; good meals . We owe it to ourselves to eat well so why are we so quick to justify depriving ourselves that very thing? Because it’s easy? Because we don’t think we can afford good meals at the moment ? I thought the same but I did some digging & looking at cookbooks & what I discovered was that there’s an array of frugal out there that use limited cheap ingredients that result in a meal that is really good quality .
The funny thing is I wouldn’t have thought of these cheap meals in a thousand years. Yet there they were staring me in the face. easy as pie no pun intended & with ingredients that I either had in the house already or were really cheap. And that’s without me shopping at places like Costco or Wal-mart. I do shop at these places these days & I can get dinner on the table for 4 people for less than $6 depending on the meal that‘s $1.50 a serve That in itself is good feeling but I’ll be honest with you guys it’s nowhere near as good a feeling as watching those cheap meals getting waffled down no questions asked.
